Traveling back home on the M6 yesterday, I was overtaken by these

I assume that they are film props? Can't imagine real ones being transported like this!

They are the replicas from outside RAF Hendon museum.

Going up to Cosford for maintenance perhaps?

Or going back depending which way you were going smile

I despair. I despair even more than Eric does when confronted with an unfamiliar TLA.

There was a small jet effect from those exhaust ports - so the journo isn't completely wrong.

Judging by the time, date, light level and cloud formations, I reckon he was heading in a North-Westerly direction. wink

I smell a rat - looks like Spit is being taken away for interrogation by Schmitz smile

And where are its wings?

I saw something very similar, lurking around the back of a building at RAF Cosford a week last Tuesday. I'm not too au fait with identifying, and the angle was bad, but I'm sure it was that plane, with wings off.

Got the new stealth wings.

You can see them if you squint and look sideways.

No there wasn't really when you consider how an engine works.

I was quoting Sir Stanley Hooker - but then, what did he know.
