They don't, they cross matched the CVR with the FDR, at the exact time of the pitch down & sidestick input, they picked a frequency up on the CVR that exactly matched that of the seat motors......Then they found that the rate of seat movement exactly corresponded to the rate of side stick input..... Modern airliners & investigation teams are incredibly clever now, there is ZERO point in trying to cover anything up, it WILL get found out.

The crew are very, very lucky that the envelope protection kicked in & stopped the overspeeed, two colleagues were down the back end & assure me that being weightless for a number of seconds stuck to the roof isn't as much fun as it sounds....

They aren't. Air Tanker are paying from their bottomless bucket of cash (£13bn+ PFI) contract. RAF personnel are on secondment to AT.

Thanks for the explanation, even with watching way too much Aircrash Investigation on National Geo that makes much more sense now
