Currently listening to the podcast of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) held at Silverstone earlier in the summer and XH558 was in the area. The commentators gave plenty of mention about XH558 and their webiste.

Supposed meeting something else and flying in formation.

Posted this in the other thread too, but we've just seen her do a practice display over Cranfield. The noise she made as she climbed out over work was something else.

I've never seen so many grown men crowding around windows/loitering in the car park to see what was going on!

I don't know of any other aircraft - the Red Arrows included - that affects people in the way 558 does. At RIAT people were spellbound by her.

It's the noise that sounds shivers down my spine. That weird howl she emits that doesn't get heard from any other aircraft.

She just seems to bring out the child in grown men. It will be a sad day when she stops flying.
