I have to agree with twister, it's a real shame so many people will miss seeing a genuinely iconic aircraft that only has a few displays left to fly. I was waiting for confirmation of the Vulcan before I purchased my RIAT tickets. I'm glad I did as it's a real puller for me. It's a very strange decision they've made, it doesn't seem to have done them any favours.

Just hoping it'll get a slot at Eastbourne.
Will you be going if it doesn't?
For me the pull is F35 at riat and later in the year the 2 lancs.

I'll still go to Eastbourne as its a good weekend at the seaside anyway, plus my son is mad on the red arrows and they're flying every day.

I might have to go to Cosford next week to get my fix.

She looked beautiful. Heard her flying over the hotel were staying at, knew straight away what it was (from noise only), despite not seeing her fly since the 90's.

Made a quick dash to the end of the runway and caught a flyover then watched her land, with parachute deployed. This was about six'ish.

Just watched the live feed from the Cosford Airshow, and I have to say she's looking better than ever, a very nice display.

I have just had the pleasure of having this beautiful bird go over our house quite low.

Never having seen it before, I had to do a double take on seeing it, what a treat.

Id love them to paint her "anti flash" white for the end of her display life.

I think the '558 team would like to as well, they have said as much IIRC.......however, they repeatedly said that the cost to do so is prohibitive with their funding issues, so unless a sponsor is willing to stump up the £100k+ to fund the strip and repaint it sadly won't happen.

Spectacular?

That is awesome. The howl is the stuff of legend.

The aviation world will be a poorer place when 558's flying days are over.
