Just seen her at 14.30 flying straight over my house near the NY moors, she had just been to the Scarborough forces day, nice and low nearest i've been to it yet, seems to fly quite slow.

Been looking forward to seeing her tomorrow at the Marshall friends and family day in Cambridge, but I'm now told she's cancelled due to another airshow being cancelled that she was going to tie in with.

She displayed over Goodwood at about 12:45. Spectacular!

I watched the Goodwood display from up at the Rally Stage food area. From there it was quite distant, but we managed to see plenty of it. The display has a lazier, gentler quality about it, very graceful when viewed from a distance. Far more stirring/inspiring than the Red arrows, as well.

I know exactly what you mean. However, whenever I'm lucky enough to see the Red Arrows, I get a lump in my throat.

Both in one day was wonderful. Especially as I had no idea that either would be displaying.

I've been to Bournemouth. Must be five or six years ago. The arrows displayed there. I stayed at an hotel for the week that afforded wonderful views of the airshow from its garden. It was situated in the centre of the display line - in fact, the commentary box was just across the road. Being on top of the cliffs meant that the aircraft displayed almost at eye level.

How did they sound, or did 558 drown everything out?
