No confirmation from anyone, just a rumour.
Hope she does appear.

That is an old report however the news from Fairford (actually a rumour which cannot be substantiated) is that 558 might very well put in an appearance.

Not for RIAT: XH558 Facebook page says:
XH558 is due to depart RAF Waddington late tomorrow morning (Friday 11th July) when the crew fly her to Farnborough to validate their 2014 display sequence ready for the airshow there the following week. The displays are designed to satisfy the airshow director of their suitability within the rules laid down by Farnborough themselves. On completion of that sortie, she will land.
Sadly, as many of you will know, XH558 has not been invited to partake in any flying activity at RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) this weekend and that remains the case.
The WAVE (Waddington Aircraft Viewing Enclosure), will be open from early morning and will be expected to fill quickly with visitors eager to catch a glimpse of this historic departure. Parking restrictions apply elsewhere and are strictly enforced. You should be aware parking around RAF Waddington's perimeter might attract a visit from the police or base security patrols.
Find out what's happening with our official Twitter feed @XH558 from about 10am and a flight info line that will be posted here on Facebook.
Have a lovely evening.

Beaten to it!
'558 destination is Farnborough for display validation according to another PHer with access to such info...
Slated for 1200hrs and 1250hrs today. I'm cycling down the Basingstoke canal to see that.

Welcome to the XH558 flight day info line. We will comment in this post on developments as the aircraft flies from RAF Waddington to Farnborough. There, the crew will do validation displays to show the event director the 2014 Vulcan routine. This then allows approvals for completing displays at the Farnborough International Airshow.
Got home from work Friday and cycled round the back of the airfield in time to see it, watched form outside the fence yesterday, and went in today. Unfortunately they stopped doing the underwing tours at the end of the flying display, but were letting people have a quick wander underneath for a few photos.
