Where are people going to watch the fly past at Woodford? I'm just the other side of Stockport, and had a bit of a drive around earlier this evening, but not sure where the best place to watch from is.

Does anyone know a good vantage point for Sunderland? I'm wondering if she's going to go south to north as a straight fly past, or come in over the sea like last time.

Since its nominally a salute to the v-force they may just centre it over the museum.

It could be very crowded at the tiny museum site. Maybe Nissan could open up a car park!

I'm planning on visiting newark air museum for the salute to the v bombers. Their Vulcan will be open to the public for just 50p!

If you get chance to visit I can recommend the museum.

I'll be in the Daventry area this weekend so am planning to go to either Coventry or Bruntingthorpe. Never been to the Midland Air Museum in Coventry before so that might be where I end up.

MAM is a nice little museum Ian, we took our Sprites and Midgets there last month for a visit and they gave us cockpit tours of the Vulcan

Will you get a decent view at Marham? I've only been there once to drop someone off so don't know about any viewing areas.
I'm planning on going to Norwich as I haven't ever been to the museum there (my idea of seeing it at Duxford and Norwich went out the window when I found it was flypasts only, not sure travelling the 70 miles in 45 minutes is possible!).

'558 flying over Hendon, will be the first time a Vulcan has flown over a part of London since the Falklands War Flypast of 1982, and most likely the very last time a Vulcan will be seen over a part of the capital.

I'd love to see her tomorrow. I'm currently in Portugal but could possibly just make Woodford if our flight is on time tomorrow. However I've never been there before, time will be tight and no doubt there will be loads of people there already.

Could anyone give me a pointer, road name or google map link of where I might get a decent view?

Apparently no public viewing at Woodford, have a look on their website for times and routes.

Ahh, thanks. I'm on the mailing list but considering it's a tour to ensure large numbers see it, it's not been very clear on where you can and can't view.

If I'd been at home all day I would have gone to Elvington. I may try and get to Doncaster tomorrow instead.

How accurate are those flight paths?. If they are it will be flying right over my house, does it normally fly low enough to make pics with an ordinary DSLR worthwhile?. I am not an aviation enthusiast, but with this being the last year it is flying it would seem wrong not to get some pics if I am able to.

Where did it go? I was just watching it on FR24, it was en route to Barton and had dropped to about 2000ft somewhere near Bolton, it then seemed to stop moving on the map but the odd thing is I only live a couple of miles from Barton airport and not only can I not see it I cant even hear it. Its next fly over is supposed to be Ringway. Now I cant find it on FR24 at all.

It drops in and out, I looked earlier for it and no sign, then it popped back in for a short while and has gone again.
