Conditions were a bit challenging at Yeovilton yesterday but the V-Jet Formation flypast was stunning. Here's the best of the bunch that I took.

Love the pics above of the flypast with (the only airworthy!) Sea Vixen and two Vampires. That was something special to behold.

Here's my snap of XH558 taxiing to final stand after its likely last-ever landing at RNAS Yeovilton, braking parachute and all. If you didn't know - those hangers in the background comprise the original Yeovilton V-bomber Dispersal area.

Does anyone know of suitable observation points around Fairford? Unfortunately tickets are sold out for the days I can make it and wondered if I could close enough to view from over the fence.

I have a directors cut in the making for the purists wink

Unfortunately there is a lot of wind noise and kids/dogs in the actual audio that's why there is music on this video.

Email newsletter last night said "Thursday morning" and that they'd publish details of the route at 9:30am on the day.

She dropped into Fairford just before noon.

No fly-by. She just appeared out of the gloom quietly, landed almost perfectly & taxied to her display stand.

I got up close late this afternoon & had a good look around her. She is beautiful.

Took a video on my phone however trying to upload is proving a right royal pain in the ass so I will try again later.

I happened to be back at RNAS Yeovilton today ... meetings stopped to see the Vulcan depart one last time at 11.30am; Airside line crowded with people watching. Phone cam was all I had..:
