From their Facebook page :-

Here is XH558 at 4pm today, back on the hangar floor after completing a successful series of undercarriage retraction and deployment tests. She will now leave the hangar and subject to a 'before flight' service tomorrow, will be declared ready for her appearances at Goodwood Revival and Old Sarum. Follow our flight day info-line here from 11am tomorrow.

I may get flamed for this but work has meant I havent had a chance to get to any of the shows.

Is there anywhere near goodwood that I will be able to park up and watch the vilcan today as it may be my last chance to see it flying before it stops.

Looks like shes going around Beachy Head for a photo opportunity today, might be worth a trip down there, just need to find out timings!

Trundle Hill? Ok this is a FOS video but the circuit is nearby too, check google maps maybe? Unless anyone else has a better idea.

Totally understand why they had to go back but it seems all my efforts to see the vulcan are being thwarted!

I even found somewhere to park up and watch today!

I hope they manage to get it sorted though as it would be a real shame to have to cut short the final season. Does perhaps show that she is getting old!

Likewise for me too, no chance so far and the only I managed to get too was a horrible day frown

However as 558 may well have not completed as many shows as expected could it be argued she can fly a few next year?

Wishful thinking I know!

I was waiting at Old Sarum for her to appear. Glad to see the B17 Flying Fortress instead though, wasn't expecting that.

Did XH558 make it to Goodwood?

Doesn't look like I will get to see her fly this year after all.

Good to hear she landed safely and just hope its an easy fix.

XH558 was seen flying around at a distance as the Mustang, Spitfire and Kittyhawk show was on. Then left as they finished.

XH558 updated their twitter feed earlier.

8pm. She was in the hanger being examined for the fuel leak, and to ascertain what repairs are needed.

Such a shame for those expecting to see her at Goodwood and Old Sarum.

I felt very lucky as she flue directly over over house on the way down to beachy head and on the way back. Really didn't think I'd see her flying again so consider myself fortunate. Hope the technical issue is a reasonably easy fix.

I was at the cancelled Dunsfold show and then was also at the cancelled Old Sarum show. Really not having any luck here.

She's not due to do any more shows South of London now so I'm going to miss out.

I'm a bit frustrated that they seem to be putting things like photo calls at Beachy Head ahead of paid for displays. I think they're pushing too hard and missing the actual commitments.

^^ This . yes have to agree with you . I was at Goodwood and thought why the 'photo shoot' (that was kept quiet also), surely that visit could of been done on the Farewell tour ??

I was miffed earlier in the summer when it was due at Bicester, Wellsbourne and Weston-Super-Mare. We went to 'Flywheel' at Bicester, staying locally overnight before the event but it was late taking off due to an incident on the runway at its base and completely missed out Bicester, going on to Wellsbourne then WSM. Where was it appearing again the next weekend - Wellsbourne...irked

I may be wrong but every time I look at the flight plans that are issued these photo shoots seem to be factored into the route and take place while waiting for their time slots at each show. The fact that "st happens" is beyond their control and especially after the events of a few weeks ago they can't afford to take chances on safety although with dodgy nose wheels and especially fuel leaks would you really expect them to carry on with a display?
