Looks like it'll be coming down our valley and over the house, but I'm probably going to be out. Gutted!

Looks like a trip to Dunsfold for me or risk trying to see it somewhere along the A272 if the advertised flight path is correct.

It's going over the Hogsback so I might go there to watch.

Wales gets stuffed as usual - big mistake by VTTS to include the Welsh coast route on the provisional route map. They're going to get a lot of bad press here for dropping it completely.

Gutted I can't even travel to see it from Snowdonia because of work committments.

Doesnt come quite south enough for me near portsmouth! Wife is at work so might have to drag the kids to sit in a field somewhere!

Its a shame there is no details of the other two flights they mention as it would be handy to know if I am going to get another chance to see it

I wondered that too - on the route map it passes quite close to me, and there's plenty of places down country lanes where I reckon I can get a decent view. If I head for the nearest waypoint, I expect it might be quite crowded. I also wonder what height it will be at on the normal route sections.
I'm hoping this is the sort of information that will be forthcoming. I appreciate they can't guarantee the exact route, but considering there are no special provisions at my 3 "nearest" waypoints (already checked, i.e. at Bristol Airport they've just said 'normal viewing points', which is little more than a few very narrow country lanes in the vicinity).

Im sure there are plenty of people who want to avoid congestion and view on the route instead, but that's a lot of worrying straight lines, presumably there are some things they will have to fly around?

I suspect the transits between the flyby locations will also be at a higher altitude than the flybys themselves ?

Looking at the Sunday route, its fairly busy airspace even on a Sunday so I'd be surprised if if gets much higher than 3000ft all day to be honest.

PA474 isn't flying this year, still undergoing a major rebuild after a big in-flight engine fire...

South West has been ignored as well I see. Seems a shame.

Looks like it's Bicester for me, but I bet it'll be a nightmare getting anywhere near the airfield.

It was meant to be over-flying Hawarden, doesn't appear to be now.... :-(

realistically it can't fly all possible routes, its a balance of geographic coverage vs population balance. the welsh coast wont have the same numbers of people as birmingham/midlands

Hawarden is just to the west of Chester, it could be enroute from Manchester south
L. The routing they have given from MAN south is via Whitchurch, which is SW of Hawarden.

Also given Hawarden is an Airbus and former DeHavilland site, I would have thought this would have had some significance in the routing?

Makes u wonder why they publish a provisional route, only to then tear it up?

I'm about 5-6 miles from Waddington which will be packed but also have a turning point about 5 miles west of me as well. maybe a trip on the bike unless the whole family want to come with me.
Hope they start late as possible, lad has a football game at 11am Sunday which will last about an hour.
Think actual times will be published on Friday.
