Had three loops, each lower than the last, at 1440 at Honington.

Low and slow every time.

Wow. One of the most amazing fly-bys I've ever seen, what a graceful but immense plane! pictures and possibly a video when I get home and plug my phone in.

Lucky bugger! All I got was about 10 seconds from first hearing it to it disappearing to the west. Very impressive though - made my afternoon.smile

Went out with my Dad to watch it over-fly Thurleigh at 15.05h, banked right above the airfield and away.

I was at Gaydon and the display was really good.

XH558 performed about 3 or 4 flypasts, and hopefully I have some of it on video. smile

What a day ... nice lunch at Stow ... Vulcan at RAF Scampton ... Vulcan return to DSA ( more people than I've ever seen there before) and what a display that was including a chute stream on landing ... tea at Mount Pleasant ...

Many thanks VttS team ... see you next year !

Awesome display at Gaydon. A handful of passes and then a big wingover to end on.

Stood on top of the old obs tower - front row seats biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Yeah, we tried to get onto the track but they'd shut it then. Took our disco and used it as a mobile viewing platform in the tyre store. Was really impressed how many people turned up.

What a fantastic noise, I've seen it before but this was really mega. Glad we went (should have been in Whitley..!)

JLR put this out earlier, a bit corporate but I like it.

It's the last time they'll ever get to fly a Vulcan, I'm not convinced they'll care what the CAA think.
Most XH558 aircrew are serving airline pilots as their day jobs.

I think they'd care a great deal if the CAA revoked their licences.
Most but not all, and there will only be one last flight...

Life (and a holiday) got in the way of me posting these previously.... Here's a few from the Sunday at Wings and Wheels last month.
I only have a basic lens and no processing software or anything so these are not the best, but they do represent the completion of a successful mission for me as I've been trying to see 558 fly for a few years now.
