I'm surprised it doesn't use electrotransparent privacy glass.

Or is it not rated strong enough for ship use (even if fitted behind tougher glass?)

I have to say, one would get absolutely no sense of being on the ocean. It's completely enclosed. Impressive engineering is all.

The finish looks incredible.
Its been seized due to outstanding debt!

Lovely, I've worked on decent sized yachts where guest accom isn't as nice as the crew areas on that. Shame they didn't show any engineering spaces but I don't suppose charterers are interested.

I suspect that's the best attempt we'll ever see of raising any canvas. And I doubt it would have half a knot of contribution to hull speed.

st there's more windage in the hull!!
Its not going anywhere like that....... Its at Anchor.....

According to this morning's Metro, it's definitely going anywhere - it's been arrested in Gibraltar.

The sail makes in look like a Chinese Junk. Or rather this junk looks like another junk.

The rig is much less junk like than Maltese Falcon.

If the hull wasn't so gross, A Sail (or whatever its called)could be beautiful.

Is it just me that looks at new posts in this thread as much for the nice locations as for the yachts themselves? It's a nice antidote to the everyday view, in the same way as the "show us the view from your office window" thread was when that was being updated.

Yes and one of the things like about boats.

There was one Youtube episode of an American couple who were doing the whole sell up, buy a boat and go cruising thing who were moored in St Baths in their $50K small, old boat and commented that they had the same view as Abramovich on Eclipse which was moored a few hundred yards away.
