I've posted this before, but if you are a design freak have a look at these - http://www.schopferyachts.com/ Oculus & Infinitas.

Yuk, horrible boat the quality is not there compared to other manufacturers and it is a very impractical yacht ;-)

Ecstasea is an interesting one. Pumps out over 30,000hp and can hit 32kt apparently.

My all time fave M/Y is Echo/Katana, which is now.......errr.... can't remember!
(I'm on my second glass of wine! wobble)
Apart from Lone Ranger of course! Which has been a big part of my life (and apart from that also, a circumnavigation on a 46ft ketch in 94-95).
Bloody hard work on the tug, but it bought my apartment cash. wink

My mate had a 60ft yacht that he used for Tuna fishing in the Caribbean, he reckoned he went through about $40k worth of fuel in a 3 day dash once.....so multiply that by a LOT.
That's a lot of fuel..... actually about 2000 litres per hour for 72 hours. Most 60 footers only hold about 2/3 thousand litres .... !!! My 50 foot only burns about 60/80 lites per hour between 2 350 hp turbo diesels...

In the med you will pay from around 100,000 euros for the leasehold interest in a 12m berth and upwards of 500,000 for a 24m. A 40m berth in Antibes could change hand for upwards of 2 million

Thanks FWD! That's the one. I've had a few lunches, and barbies with the big Swedish chief, he'd give me a slap if he read this! laugh
