They are a powerboat, but with even more gear to handle the flappy things. Big sailboats have gone ridiculous. I´ve been working for hydraulics company this winter, and the size (and cost) of some of the gear is just madness. eek

The load on the sheets etc must be huge, its bad enough on a 15m sailboat

She has just come out of refit at Pendennis and there are a few photos at the bottom of the page that show the before and after - she is significantly improved in many ways, also now a shade under 78m LOA. http://pendennis.com/yachts/m5/ Scroll down to the photos and you will see her on sail trials.

That is quite simply one of the most stunning things I've ever seen on the water. If I happen to win Euromillion big-time I'm definitely going to have to charter that.
Need 11 crew mates though to help demolish the 600 bottle wine cellar. Any takers ? WOW !!

lol, never looked too close. does look similar to Sunray's engine room (away to hunt for the name plate onboard here)

Madame Gu next to the God awful Venus:





Madame Gu has a very daring colour scheme but I really like it. Didn't at first sight but close up it's really nice.


Love the side detailing (wood or gold paint?) on the side.
