A lovely looking boat called Grace E parked in Leith Docks.
Can't say I've ever seen a boat like this in Leith! It was allowed to sit next to Brittania though.

450k euros a week to charter.

That's very random another yacht in Scotland (after Eclipse). I wonder if others will follow now

There used to be a big blue one that did it every year.

Gosh, what was it's name? Brit......? biggrin

We had Karima in this week too.

Yeah I don't think it left either! smile

I always just find it strange that any yacht comes this far north, as it doesn't really appeal to the jet set and is a long way to come from the Med.

Larry Ellison. Team Oracle.

It, or his previous one if that wasn't it, was moored offshore for most of the 32nd AmCup in Valencia. It kept blocking the signals coming back to shore from the camera chase boats and the on board cameras on the racing boats, depending on where the course moved to, so we had to have his skipper shift it periodically. smile

Your picture is of Rising Sun.

The yacht in Portsmouth was Musashi

Musashi was built for Ellison as a replacement for Rising Sun.

Awesome!

I've just come back from a week in Dubrovnik, some lovely stuff there and in nearby Cavtat, Lucky Me, a 43m Baglietti, High Power III at 70m and Avangard II were the highlights for me. I'm on my phone at the moment but will find some pics and links later.

The Lucky Me is a charter one, I saw it a couple of years ago when we stayed in cavtat, lovely thing. Congrats on getting engaged! I did the same last year in Porec! Must be something in the Ozusko!

It's always looked a bit tatty. They used to summer on the 1st berth on the entry to the IYCA. The crew just seemed to slosh an old mop across the decks as a washdown. The officers were ex RN and didn't have much of a clue about presentation. Same with Golden Shadow.

Anything worth looking our for in Palma next week? Remember seeing an awful colour-combo yacht with matching heli on it a few years back.
