I'm in Porto Montenegro and it is really nice. They apparently have 1000A shore power but I have not used it. Good internet connection (10MB/second).
There are loads of apartments and villas still empty but when they get sold the place should be buzzing.
Crew facilities are apparently really nice including a big pool but I have not made it that far. Beautiful setting in between the mountains.
Overall, very impressed.
Not sure how much it costs to be here, have not seen that receipt yet..

It's interesting to see a client interested in investing in brand new technology & the engineering to do something entirely new, rather than just doing more of the same, but bigger.
Sure that will be overlooked and it will be forever damned simply because it doesn't meet an arbitrarily defined, narrowly prescribed aesthetic standard.
Interesting comment. The aesthetic standard for sail boats is well established and minimal freeboard is a key principle because it reduces the windage and makes the boat easier to handle when its blowySure that will be overlooked and it will be forever damned simply because it doesn't meet an arbitrarily defined, narrowly prescribed aesthetic standard.

It's a sailing boat; if it's not going to either go really fast(see Ben Ainslie) or look nice while travelling slowly what's the point?Sure that will be overlooked and it will be forever damned simply because it doesn't meet an arbitrarily defined, narrowly prescribed aesthetic standard.

The aesthetics still have to follow a fairly rigid blueprint to get any approval - lowering the freeboard on A would not suddenly win it universal praise. The issue is that very often exterior aesthetics seem to be the only consideration and stopping point of any discussion - not that it is limited to just yachts - pretty much anything and anyone can be dismissed entirely if it doesn't meet the pre-agreed aesthetic standard.
In my experience, although not of boats this size, if it looks gawky and ungainly it sails and handles gawky and ungainly.

Except that the accepted exterior aesthetic has a basis in how it works as a sailing boat.

Back in the 80's, when Perini Navi started to build big motorsailers, we said just the same thing. In my experience, although not of boats this size, if it looks gawky and ungainly it sails and handles gawky and ungainly.
That changed swiftly.

After doing "A" it's hardly surprising he's went for something else a bit "different". While I don't believe it's real sailing potential either, maybe it'll be an eco angle using sail power rather than motor.
But then I'm not a sailor and would rather an engine anyway, so am not offended by the offence to "proper" sailing vessels.

He he that's brilliant! Gotta love the daily mash. Well spotted!Just in Porto Montenegro at the moment. Just been in the rather very cold pool of the yacht club lido. I can see Dynasty (or is it IDynasty like marine traffic says) from my sun lounger. It's bloody massive!
A sailed past us as well this morning as we were driving from Muo. But of all the boats here, the best is the little Aquariva parked near the Regent hotel. It's an absolutely gorgeous boat.
