Looks like a trawler, and they ride horribly and are slow.

No thanks.

Although no where near 60 mil, I would still prefer Zeepard over most of the poncy boats with a paltry 450 mile range and an aversion to waves. No pretentiousness, big enough to travel any where in the world and still small enough to fit into all the interesting places.

Just out of interest, which ones only have a 450 mile range and an aversion to waves? On what experiences are you basing this aspersion? The vast majority will be specced for an atlantic crossing (at an economical cruise of around 15kts), and I've yet to sail on one which is not a good sea boat. Given an unexpected force 10 I'd rather be on my boat than yours.

I agree with you about the size though. We tend to end up on commercial ports out of town, rather than the pretty little marinas.

Well, it's no super yacht in the category above but the covers are coming off the refit of Lady A across the bay from me.

It apparently is owned by some titled bloke off the TV that had an opportunity to create a company the likes of Sony, but failed and now just points at kids and says "you're fired" a lot.

I think this picture is pre refit as there is still some scaffolding there at the mo.

She now has her bottom wet again. Back in the water this morning. Looks nice if not the mega yachts we see in here.

ETA: Just went down to take a picture now the rain has stopped, and she is nowhere to be seen. A quick departure, maybe out for a trial but can't find her on AIS.

That was one of the bigger Sunseeker Predators (106 I think). The bigger ones arent on their website at the moment. The Predator 80 is shown with having a range of "up to" 300 miles, which is pretty lousy for an 80' boat.

80ft? That's a day boat, not a Superyacht.

Enigma off the coast of Italy, still looks fresh to me for a near 30 year design:

This would be okay to cross the Atlantic in, although you would need to refuel her midway (with her own bunker tanker!) if you use the gas turbine!

That’s a bit like saying a Lotus Elise is a bad long distance cruiser. And aren't those about £3m? Not really in the superyacht league.

Saw this in St Maarten last Christmas.

Steve Jobs' yacht Venus. A poor photo but an incredible looking thing.

I think the Barcelona tourist board owe pistonheads some money for referrals! Youre about the sixth one of us to be there and post since June.

Really is a lovely place.

Ulysses was only launched 6 months ago-no fit out/paint, boy that was fast. I do like a nice Expedition yacht.. I'd game fish the globe.

In the bottom left of that pic is a perfectly nice looking boat. One of my old bosses had something similar parked in Majorca (a Sunseeker I think) & it was a very lovely thing. Or it would be until you turned up at the marina, and saw one of those 2 huge things tied uplaugh

Ulysses was launched at Kleven in Norway in September 2014 before being transferred to Germany in August 2015 for completion at Dörries Maritime, and was delivered in March this year - 18 months from launch to completion.

The 116m vessel reportedly for the same client was also launched at Kleven in March this year.
How time flies. Great looking yacht.

Serene, a 130M Tincantieri yacht in Genoa recently:

You can see how much larger she is compared to the nearby "normal" sized yachts from above:

Perhaps a Wally yacht? Black hull & mast, flush wooden decking is a bit of a theme with them.
