View from our office, general consensus is that it's pretty ugly compared to the one that was moored the other side of Tower Bridge earlier in the summer.

Has that had a big extra bit added after it was first built? Gawky.

What a mess those windows are. Clashing bendy lines for no good reason. Awful.

Why would it anchor against the Belfast out of curioisity? Is it literally the only place itll fit?

I'm interested to know how much her mooring fees will be there?!

It's often very hard to grasp a scale of some of these yachts unless alongside something to offer a comparison.

I remember seeing Kismet moored on the Thames a couple of years back. At just over 300 ft I thought she was huge until I saw a picture of her next to the new Dilbar!

Man, motor yacht A is a hideously ugly thing. I'd like to have a wander round it though.

I like how the Telegraph describes A as bomb proof, cough cough HMS Belfast may disagree.

A looks stunning from the front, you'd never expect it's side profile to be as it is!

It certainly isn't something that I find overly nice to look at, but nonetheless I am glad that it and things like it exist. I would not however say the same for the sailing boat that he is replacing it with - that is just nasty... :-|

It seems wilfully discordant, yet clearly very carefully designed.

For that reason I think it's great fun.

Horrid, but brill. But horrid. But brill.

I don't know how... but I'm really starting to come round to this, it's like something out of the Fifth Element - would like to see it with the sails are up

Get out. Now

The side profile is her 'prettiest' angle. All other angles are horrid at best, vile generally
If by nice you mean a block of white council flats.

From what I have heard about the immense cost and limited lifespan of kevlar sails - it is entirely possible that running sailing boat A actually under sail could be more expensive than paying for the fuel to run a boat its size on diesel. Can somebody who knows about big boats please comment on whether there is anything in that or whether it is a high end urban myth? Is it masted because that is actually more expensive to run?

Also - looking at the really big boats like Dilbar, which is bigger by displacement than the largest US navy Destroyer: is their a definition of the point at which a yacht becomes a cruise ship?

I have zero style or design ability and that thing is so bad I could've designed it.
