I'm interested to know how much her mooring fees will be there?!
It's often very hard to grasp a scale of some of these yachts unless alongside something to offer a comparison.
I remember seeing Kismet moored on the Thames a couple of years back. At just over 300 ft I thought she was huge until I saw a picture of her next to the new Dilbar!

Man, motor yacht A is a hideously ugly thing. I'd like to have a wander round it though.

It certainly isn't something that I find overly nice to look at, but nonetheless I am glad that it and things like it exist. I would not however say the same for the sailing boat that he is replacing it with - that is just nasty... :-|Paddy_N_Murphy said:

I don't know how... but I'm really starting to come round to this, it's like something out of the Fifth Element - would like to see it with the sails are up
The side profile is her 'prettiest' angle. All other angles are horrid at best, vile generally
From what I have heard about the immense cost and limited lifespan of kevlar sails - it is entirely possible that running sailing boat A actually under sail could be more expensive than paying for the fuel to run a boat its size on diesel. Can somebody who knows about big boats please comment on whether there is anything in that or whether it is a high end urban myth? Is it masted because that is actually more expensive to run?
Also - looking at the really big boats like Dilbar, which is bigger by displacement than the largest US navy Destroyer: is their a definition of the point at which a yacht becomes a cruise ship?
