I saw the last part of it. Saw Herb Chambers, Wayne Carini's billionaire mate planning his new tub. Saw Solandge, I really don't like an interior designed to look like a jewellery box.

Think he might be a she, but yes - I was in the industry and there were never leaks of the photo of his first motorboat... This is very unusual...

Perhaps I should have created a new account with a fake email address to post this!

So, these pop up on a mates FB feed! I am amazed they've come out... No points for guessing which new 'sailing' vessel they come from... Pretty sure we can safely say it exceeds the GBP60million criteria

The size of the Tender Garage is amazing... the library is also breathtaking...
Those images I would say are rather exclusive!

Is that bottom one a picture of the owner in his dressing gown? Some brave/stupid soul took these pictures!

And they must be very close to him to be able to take them surely?!

I can see it has a stepped hull which means it's made for speed. It will be a custom one off. These guys don't buy off the rack

Cheers.

It reminds me of a vintage flying boat or swimming Sherman tank.

I suppose it's for privacy / security, but it seems odd the way that the sun deck area is set so far below the sheer (?) line. You'd feel like you were sitting in it, you get no view and it looks from that photo like you are in shade unless the sun is directly overhead.

(^^^ Click image if you don't get it)

Regarding the images, Whoever took them should probably have a quick re-read of the NDA which they undoubtedly signed.

Can't be a sundeck, there is a cover rolled up at one end, it's just a covered pool with the cover off.

Why do so many people choose sort of real old school looking, gaudy interiors anyway? Just because that's how they're "supposed to be"? Or is it just the demographic presumably dominated by russians/arabs/tech nerds and that's what they're in to?

I'm really surprised there's never any crazy modern stuff out there on a massive scale. When I was at uni I did a project to design a super yacht and we went a bit sorta Hadid inspired modern. We still think it'd be awesome in reality. The guys I worked with went on to work at big yacht design consultancies like AW but it never seems to be implemented even there.

Modern superyachts are, in the main, simply not classy things. Maybe the guys who buy them don't want classy, or don't know classy.

They want glitz, and classy glitz isn't really possible.

Spending a few hundred million on a new boat isn't a classy thing to do. It's a glitzy thing to do.

Spending that few hundred million restoring an old boat is a classy thing to do, but they don't want to do that.

There's certainly a tribal thing motivating people to commission boats that are all, effectively, very similar. Size is important. Very important, but styling seemingly isn't.

Kudos to Melnichenko - love them or hate them, the two A yachts are at least a bit of fun.

Presumably not, but I imagine the pool would be the focus of the outside area?
