Is it pure vanity then? No additional usable hull volume, but the ability to say you've breached the magic 120m mark for maximum bragging rights?
Seems it.

Personally I would very much like to see the look on the man's face when a 125 meter one docks up

Antigua Yacht Club destroyed by fire.

Sad news. Had many a drink there over the years. Rumour is that it wasn't insured either, which isn't good.

Total coincidence that sanctioned Yacht Alfa Nero was moored there before the failed sale.

Currently in Valletta & have the weekend to chill after work conference this week, took a boat tour around the harbour & quite a few $0'000'000's worth of stuff floating about...

From the top, Tranquility, Tranquility & Samar (& maybe support vessel in the middle?), Aviva, & Pegasus III.

Also saw Axioma moored up...

The support boat is Game Changer, which apparently isn't a support boat anymore but a standalone yacht.

The transom on that is horrid. Just a massive white slab devoid of elegance. IMO yachts should have elegance.

It still looks like a building - is it the harbour master's office?

Correct UNF
We were on the Arvia...It is very Big!

But, back in St Lucia, there was a very elegant new "classic" sailing boat which must be quite expensive...
