Just got home as planned. Low cloud again so I didn't venture up. Just had a call from my grandparents that the cloud has lifted and they have had 4 tornados. One being the lowest they have seen for a long while.
I've heard about a Tornado, flew up the Bwlch under all the mist and clag. would you mind me asking where abouts your grandparents live? I was in the Elan Valley doing some waterfalls and heard an Eagle scream through the valley behind, never heard a noise like it. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Can I just say - I absolutely adore this thread. Stunning pictures, and contributions from people that know what they're talking about Love it. Love. It.
OP - I'll drop you an email at some point and ask for a picture as a wallpaper if I may - I'm just deciding which one!
Nidj.
Thanks, it's been great to hear other peoples stories and see other peoples images.OP - I'll drop you an email at some point and ask for a picture as a wallpaper if I may - I'm just deciding which one!

Oh cool.
They get loads, and i mean loads of traffic as there house is bright white and situated between 2 valleys.
Its a through route to the loop.
My thinking is that the majority of jets follow the A470 all the way to Dolgellau from as far away as Carno and even Rhayader. They get loads, and i mean loads of traffic as there house is bright white and situated between 2 valleys.
Its a through route to the loop.
cheers mate

Loving some of these photo's and has always been somewhere I'd love to go, so I'm wandering if there is a Calender or particular days they fly the loop? I have a couple of weeks off in June and was gonna head up there for a few days, so trying to work out when's best to go.
Cheers
