I can normally do Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm usually quite lucky on Wednesdays too lol! But if the current rumours are true then it really won't be worthwhile - there's talk surrounding the Red Arrows crash today that all Hawk T1s may be grounded and if true, that will put pay to most of the low level traffic with RAF Valley being only a short distance away which makes up most of the traffic. Marham aren't flying much either over August, so not many Tornados.

The loop had nothing yesterday, the lakes had a few tornados, tucanos, Herc, T2, etc :-/

It's very much hit and miss. Check to see if any FJ squadrons are overseas first as that can quieten the loop down. Or if you ask Dave nicely he has a source that let's him no if any helicopters are using the mountain flying training area sites wink
And i still never got to see any!!!

For a first timer I'd go up the Bwlch, cant really get lost, loads of warning, fantastic views and ideally suited to a 300mm.

It really is hit or miss. Sunnier days can be better but not always. Tuesdays and Thursday are better if you want to see a Tornado it seems until the end of the year.
