Judging by the date of uploading, this must be a repost, but I hadn't seen it before, so I'll risk it... wink

RedBull air racer has a lucky/skilled escape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkwKqD9ylLo - the interview gives an interesting insight into how easily that sort of c*ck-up is done.

I don't know if the F-104's reputation was deserved ("Catch a Falling Starfighter", etc), but this clip definitely makes it even scarier:

Only just heard about ZELL, and it seems there are a few more ZELL clips around. F-100 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oImq1glnOds and some MIG ones elsewhere.

I wonder if this is where the myth came from about the man that placed a rocket to the back of his car and ended up a blackened splash mark on a mountain side? i.e. used the same propulsion unit?

Wow. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed that.
Particularly liked where they were filming from, HOW close to the runway?

Interactive 360-degree video of a Hawker Hunter over the Swiss mountains: http://eyes.kolor.com/fr/i/5e936abfc36f423ba96f344... - it's all some clever video+stitch software tech.

At least, I think it is - my connection at work is flakey and I can't control the view properly here. Let me know if it works or not and I'll try it at home.

F15 night launch from RAF Lakenheath. Sadly the camera refused to take any more footage unless it was blurry.

The burners must be shooting out about 15 feet from the jet- a stunning sight to see.

Spent a couple of days at RAF Coningsby last week and took my Canon 700D with L series 70-300mm lens and shot some footage, includes Sentry take off, Typhoons dry take off and with reheat and 2 Tonka's taking off with reheat, managed to capture some pretty cool (IMO) closeups.

It's not a perfect video by any means and the focus was hunting a little AND most of it was handheld so the footage is a little shaky at times due to me holding the camera above the fence to shoot.

One I missed earlier, Super VC-10 G-ASGM / ZD241 K4 in preservation and running at Bruntingthorpe in May.

Just nice to see it being kept in running condition.
