Tail strike after misjudging altitude during a loop - Apparently no damage to the aircraft other than to the paint. Pilot was able to land safely.

It's a fairly common occurrence.

Even the best can make this mistake - see Typhoon test pilot at RIAT and USAF Thunderbirds F16 in Idaho in 2003.

From this article: http://www.airfix.com/uk-en/news/aerodrome/unusual...

I didn't know they decided to 're-hang' the exhibition, will try to re-visit sometime soon.

Yup. The 'George Bush Snr' Avenger is now down off the roof and in one of the hangers on it's wheels. One of the staff members I spoke to also mentioned that the Mustang is now a "real one" rather than a replica. Although he admitted that it was a 'bitsa' rather than one single original airframe. Those were the biggest changes I remembered, although lots of the exhibits had been moved around. It had been a long time since my previous visit.

The 165mm Centurion Avre has also gone from in front of the Land Warfare Hall. Replaced by an RE Fv432 instead. The issue there though, is that the bulk of the exhibits in that hall are not owned by IWM, but on loan from collections. This was obvious because signage at the start of the D-Day feature urged visitors to look out for the Sherman tank. It had been sold at auction and taken away some months earlier.

Been doing a few re-edits of shots from the Goodwood Revival.
Quite pleased with this:
