Surely bad parking thread. Then again should be on an epic parking thread.

Is this the one that the Aeroflot employee stole piece by piece over 20 years, smuggling them out of the airport in his trousers, and reassembled in his back garden?

According to Wikipedia it flew "there" hehe

Here's the google map - https://www.google.com/maps/@55.8543721,49.0986124...

It's on display at the Kazan State Technical University.

Check out the planes parked at the airport when you zoom out - very interesting Ruski metal.

What's the big boy with the very swept back wings, next to the bushes with a yellow truck in front of it?

They look to be a pair of TU-22's NATO code name Backfire.

I'd go with a Blackjack rather than a Backfire

The Backfire's engines exhaust under the tail. The Blackjack's engines are under the wing (like the American B-1).

Tu26M Backfire -

Tu16 Blackjack

I was looking at the wrong one hehe there are two swing wing aircraft on the main apron near the runway.

In that case yes I'd agree its almost certainly a Blackjack.

Have a look at the LII aircraft testing facility in Zhukovsky.

Two TU-144s

The Americans even came to play - https://www.google.com/maps/@55.5674969,38.1476175...

check out the other photospheres, stern Russians, tanks playing, more aircraft.

The original coordinates take you to a Tu-144 with what looks like a MiG-25 tucked up under the left wing. To the NE along that main road is a Tu-22M BACKFIRE in a grassy area between two large buildings. Continueing to the NE at the airfield itself, on the NW end of the parking apron, there looks to be a derelict Tu-160 BLACKJACK. SW of that are a pair of Tu-22M, one with wings swept forward, one with wings swept back. There are more across on the north side of the airfield.

Don't often get a chance to correct Eric, but that looks more like a Tu-160 than a Tu-16.

Got to give me the benefit of the doubt regarding it being a typo.

Although I'd love to see a Tu16.
