Westland Wasp Helicopter by lloydh.co.uk, on Flickr
[whisper]Lloyd; that's a Scout.[/whisper]
What makes it a Scout? Looks like a Wasp to me....
It looks like it was built by Heath Robinson...
Is that the same bloke that wired my brain to ignore the castors and focus on the camouflage?

Sorry Lloyd!

Remember these well when working the line at Liverpool they also had a Yellow one in Hertz rental colours...verry noisy and smokey with the old JT8s
Ryanair had a few flying billboards in the fleet. They also had a 737 in "Mews of the World" colours.

I don't often quote myself but I have to say "Mews of the World" made me laugh.

It should, of course, have been "News of the World".

Two can play that game -

We've got the back end of that in our storage car park having used it for structural training, corrosion control and NDT work.

Alphajet looks a bit pigeon-chested. If you are after pretty little jets I give you this:

Agreed, always thought the Alphajet had overdosed on wurst. Gnat is a lovely little thing, loved watching the Red Arrows with them, they were so tiny.

Royal Navy pilot was late for lunch, went straight to mess instead of via the flight line.

Damage to the roof is a bit odd. Did the pilot eject through it? Cripes!!!

I doubt it. The Hunter was fitted with a 0-90 seat ie it would get you out on the ground but not below a forward speed of 90kts.

Allegedly the groundcrew guy in the seat was killed when it fired after part of the roof hit the top of the seat and triggered the firing pin frown

What a p1sser... "phew, that was close" as the aircraft comes to rest inside the hangar, then the ejection seat goes off!
