Personally I don't find the purchase price to be the most amazing number, IMO it's the ongoing cost that's truly frightening. Budget around 10% of purchase price to keep her in the water for a year.

That's over a million a month as an overhead.
And also one of those spurious figures thrown around that means nothing.

staff costs especially if you have a full crew crew which is fairly easy across deck / engine / kitchen / hospitality

master , couple of watchkeepers
ch engineer and a couple of engineering dept people
at least a couple of deckhands
Purser / 'fixer'
Chef , sous chef , kitchen hands
plus the 'hospitality' staff

fills 18 or so of the 23 crew berths (got to save some space for the valets and maids of the owner and any guests bringing staff )

these kinds of vessels go through serious volumes of fuel especially if travelling with guests and all the hotel power loads are in use ...

I love the idea of the swimming pool turning into a heli-pad!
I want to arrive on my yacht by helicopter and then have a swim in the pool. This yacht is inadequate for my needs.

I had an offer on her last time she was for sale from a very very good client. It was low (autumn 2010) but ended up just €5m apart. I think pride got the better of both of them! Shame as the commission would've been useful!

IIRC the owner's new boat (712?) has just left the shed in Alblasserdam.
