Never seen one moving or heard the engines for myself so just pulled up along the line just south of MK station and watched it go by, nice sound heard it coming before I saw it. It's running 6mins late at MK though

Was that due to route knowledge or loco knowledge, because there can't be that many drivers on the WCML with Deltic hours.

Both actually, He drove the train for west coast railways even thought he is also a Virgin Driver. He trained on 55's when Virgin used them over the S+C a few years ago.
We were only 'part trained' purely for driving them, no fault and failure training required as there are always fitters in attendance.
