FAO Speedyellow

My old Lupo Gti a few years ago parked next to your boat in Lymington.
No photos yet but I have just bought a Ribcraft 4.8, I had an Avon Searider last year.

just bought this as i needed a new way to squander money after selling the porker!!!!

"Sumatra" an Oyster 35SJ made by Hustler some time in the mid to late 80's!!

Should make for a tidy little club racer for sailing around the big cans as we drink many little cans!

First in class so far apparently, however she is loosing speed and looks a bit bow down in this picture. Suspect that the bow man needs to eat a few less pies!!

boat in background is a lovely old Choy Lee offshore 40.

you are correct, the sail is quite old and has a lot of stretch in it !!! but they will do for the time being until i have figured out what string to pull!! (has more string than Moody Blues!!)

to Me2, nice Broom, used to know a lot of them in the 80's ... all kept at Hampton Court on the thames back then!

Oh damn it, very sorry, I completely forgot to come back to you regarding this. I do apologise. Great photos, unfortunately I couldn't make it anyway.

Furled in a hurry to some extent, and also a sail trimming day, fairly light winds and one of my crew had been playing with the foot and leech lines which made a bit of difference to the sail shape as she went away.

Anyway, at the time the sails were going away, I was concentrating on avoiding the ferry, another anchored yacht, and all the rocks, and getting a man in the dinghy to get the shore line on sharpish. Then five minutes later, the other boats buggered off! Should have waited, would have been ten times easier.

This was Giannutri, about five miles SE of Giglio, coast of Tuscany.

Definitely not on the wrong way, I tried hanking that sail on the other way, but couldn't make it fit. wink
