What make is this? I keep looking at getting me a nice boat and have had a look at a wally tender but decided i would prefer a boat that floated and it didnt look like it would and a fjord but didnt click with that. I assume were talking kind of comparable prices if not no bother as dont want to go (too) broke buying one.

Is that an unusual way to stow the mainsail with the gaff fully raised?
It was my first time out with her and I wanted to be as rigged as possible before heading off down Hamble RiverNow I don't bother raising the gaff unless I'm putting up the main
Lovely boat though, excellent for just about everything we've thrown at it, from pottering about under motor to introducing people to sailing to single handing in weather that made me wish for a trapeze!!
There seems to be a stick of wood hanging out the back.
All of ours seem to do that too.

I have at last graduated from canoe and kayak. This is our new to us and very young (35 hours) Dutch 'sloepen'.
Just under 20ft and seating for 8 very comfortably. Was a show boat so some nice upgrades including a 28hp 3cyl vs the bog 16hp 2cyl and hydraulic steering. Really lovely to spend time on and the family have settled well into extended trips. Looking forward to next season but looking to squeeze a few more out of this!

No idea on prices though I'm afraid....
It's been a while since this thread was updated so thought I would add our boat in and hope others do the same.
I enjoyed reading Loius Balfour's adventures in boating and reminded me that there are so many active boaters on this forum, it would be great to see the different ways everyone gets out on the water.
Here's ours. It's a 1960 Storebro Solo Ruff, a mahogany clinker built Swedish lake boat. The previous owner restored her extensively, including the fitment of a 160 hp Styr diesel engine! As great as that is, one of the jobs this winter is replacing it with a quieter Yanmar 80hp diesel.
Kept on a pontoon so we can get out on her whatever the tide and used for days out in the Salcombe Estuary and along the coast.

I've just spent a few hours getting my boat prepped for some post-lockdown fishing.
It's a 5 metre plate alloy runabout with a 75 HP outboard - basically for fishing, with some towing neices and nephews around in a tube.
Very typical Australian style boat.
I've had it offshore, but it's a bit small to venture far without company.
No pictures tonight, because it's dark outside.
