What make is this? I keep looking at getting me a nice boat and have had a look at a wally tender but decided i would prefer a boat that floated and it didnt look like it would and a fjord but didnt click with that.
I assume were talking kind of comparable prices if not no bother as dont want to go (too) broke buying one.
Sorry for the delayed response (It's only been 5 and a half years!), this was a design for a one-off by the Alia shipyard in Turkey to serve as a dayboat for a luxury hotel on the coast there, but I think they are now doing a low volume production run. Google: ALIA 16 Yacht

There's a shed of Riva's behind that smile that 25 was/is actually for sale at lake Garda! Lovely thing.

That's lovely, really nice shape. Do you have any pics of her under power? What engine(s) are fitted?

Is she kept in Italy?

My J/80 racing 3 up off St Catherine's Point during Race the Wight last year - champagne sailing - can't wait to get back out on the water for a good downwind send
Great photo, looks like perfect conditions.

Thanks - I looked at your beautiful mahogany yacht and thought - to maintain it to look that beautiful must be an ongoing project! Used to sail on grandfather's boat and visit Salcombe about 30 years ago - beautiful place to mess about with boats

My little Thames beverage boat. We keep it on a summer mooring and 15mins from home, so it’s used as often on an impromptu summer evening as a weekend. Absolutely love it, just a shame to have to drive home occasionally frown

Very nice! The same model was moored up just off the jetty of the little restaurant we frequent in corfu. It somewhat dwarded our little 21ft day boat!

My wife has consistently reminded me of that boat on that mooring, at that time of the year as a reference for where we see ourselves in 15 years time post mortgage/post children.

Look out for this on the lake, one of our Duchy 27's delivered mid 2020. The only one in Italy!

My 2005 Sunseeker 82. I bought it in May 2020 as ex-Maroma IV which had a refit in 2015 and 2017. I now have it down in Plymouth (Aquamare marine) for a comprehensive refit. I will join it at the end of March as owner/skipper along with my chef from last year and a stewardess before moving her back to ocean Village for April getting it ready for the summer charter season in the Algarve.

Now called CHESS.

Thanks for the response, I’m glad you took a while as it meant I didn’t buy anything which is a blessing as my ex would of just got it in the divorce (just guessing as she got everything else!). Im more blow up dinghy or Lilo these days than Wally Tender but at least I can laugh!

Lovely machine.

Just curious, is the boat a business or the charter a way of keeping the costs down on a hobby? The maths are fascinating! £1m to buy + £250k refit (sheer guesswork) + 10% maintenance per season (guessing again) + £60K 6 months wages (for 2 crew, yup still guessing) = a lot, less £7k charter revenue per day?

Depending on COVID of course, an average charter season in the Algarve with approx 4 to 5 day charters per week more than covers the annual running costs and crew wages (Including mine)...... The bonus is I enjoy driving the yacht and I get a full summer season in the Algarve. With Day Charters I also get to sleep in the master cabin and my two crew sleep in the side cabins. We do have a crew quarters for 3 so we would retreat in there should we have any overnight charters with 8 guests.
