True. Guess it's a wedding not an airshow.
It's not a wedding, it's THE wedding! I think the current episode of 'The Bugle' #150 sums it up nicely http://podcast.timesonline.co.uk/rss/thebugle.rss at the bottom of the page.

Red Arrows are still in Cyprus for their annual training and are not due back in the UK for another month.Odie said:
has their ever been a helicopter formation fly past?
Plenty. Most recently for Fly Navy 100. Flypast at RIAT 2009 although that pretty much required every helicopter in the Navy!ninja-lewis said:

Interesting; I thought I saw a single Red Arrow (which I thought was a bit odd) 2 or 3 days ago. It did a slow circle around Woodbridge (Suffolk). I didn't get a good view, but it was a similar size jet painted and was all/mostly red. Fat Albert said:

There have been a couple of Civilian owned Gnats up at Wattisham over the last few days, they are usually based at North Weald. Could be what you saw. Somewhatfoolish said:

My link on the previous page shows the flightpath in more detail (last page of the PDF).Flightpath is usually in a straight line from Fairlop station, over East London, Bethnal Green, You can usually get a good view from the South Bank by the Festival Hall.
It appears that directly after passing Buckingham Palace the formations will route out via Hendon.

The BOBMF wil Fly overhead Corby Glen in Lincs at 2:05 on the return from the Flypast. (Members have lived in the Village over the years so we see them pretty frequently)
Anyone local enough I will be down in the Market Square (with a Pint)
Cheers
Corby Glen That brings back memories. OT. Have to go back to Stamford this summer for nice pints in a great place.Anyone local enough I will be down in the Market Square (with a Pint)

The Red Arrows are the only aircraft that are fitted to trail Red/White/Blue smoke. They have about a dozen Hawks which are specially modified. I imagine virtually all of the aircraft are out in Cyprus. 9, plus spare aircraft.
Bringing them back for the flypast would probably have put them back a week in their practicing.
