Complaining about the 'tyranny of Queen Elizabeth' apparently. Well they can go back to their own miserable country. Or be shot; I don't mind which.
How do they get away with such blatant racism?

surpirsed the red arrows aren't getting involved but given current ops we're a bit busy at the moment to throw all the grey stuff at a flypast....

True. Guess it's a wedding not an airshow.

It's not a wedding, it's THE wedding! I think the current episode of 'The Bugle' #150 sums it up nicely smile

Red Arrows are still in Cyprus for their annual training and are not due back in the UK for another month.

Plenty. Most recently for Fly Navy 100. Flypast at RIAT 2009 although that pretty much required every helicopter in the Navy!

Interesting; I thought I saw a single Red Arrow (which I thought was a bit odd) 2 or 3 days ago. It did a slow circle around Woodbridge (Suffolk). I didn't get a good view, but it was a similar size jet painted and was all/mostly red.

There have been a couple of Civilian owned Gnats up at Wattisham over the last few days, they are usually based at North Weald. Could be what you saw.

My link on the previous page shows the flightpath in more detail (last page of the PDF).

Flightpath is usually in a straight line from Fairlop station, over East London, Bethnal Green, You can usually get a good view from the South Bank by the Festival Hall.

It appears that directly after passing Buckingham Palace the formations will route out via Hendon.

If my experience the last time the BBMF did a fly past is right Primrose Hill park could be a great place to see them....you'll have a great view as they fly up the river towards the palace and then they will pretty much go exactly over your head as they route out towards Hendon.

The BOBMF wil Fly overhead Corby Glen in Lincs at 2:05 on the return from the Flypast. (Members have lived in the Village over the years so we see them pretty frequently)

Anyone local enough I will be down in the Market Square (with a Pint) smile

Cheers
Corby Glen That brings back memories. OT. Have to go back to Stamford this summer for nice pints in a great place.

It's just slightly early in the year for them to be ready, they're still in Cyprus till 6th May.

The BBMF didn't take that flight path out of London...they took a pretty hard right turn and headed back over towards King Cross and headed out of London that way! Shame as whilst we got to see them it was nowhere near as close as we were hoping.

i wasnt expecting a full display but some red white and blue in the sky would have been apt!

The Red Arrows are the only aircraft that are fitted to trail Red/White/Blue smoke. They have about a dozen Hawks which are specially modified. I imagine virtually all of the aircraft are out in Cyprus. 9, plus spare aircraft.

Bringing them back for the flypast would probably have put them back a week in their practicing.

Superb - thanks for staying sober enough to point accurately! smile

By some strange coincidence there was a Spitfire flying around Rendlesham/Bentwaters at 2:00pm, too.
