Doesn't taste like KFC, but rather much better.

didnt know where to buy the Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) so ebayed it.

the rest is standard stuff.

1 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons paprika
6 teaspoons MSG
2 mugs of flour (sorry not a very accurate measurement

keep that mixture handy in your cupboard, it will last you a good few gos, so don't use it all at once.

Cut chicken breast into nugget sized chunks,

it's important to stress the importance of small size chunks to help maximise the ratio of chicken to coating

whisk 1 egg and roll the chicken chunks first in the whisked egg, then roll around in some of the powder mixture until it wont take any more powder mixture.

deep fry for 7 minutes.

take them out before they look completely cooked, and roll in the mix a second time, and put back in for a few more mins

perfection.

you MUST have the MSG, its not the same without. ebay it, only a couple of quid and well worth. Ajinomoto is the company that invented it. ignore the rubbish stories about it being bad for you, absolutely no scientific evidence to support this.

serve with some mayo.

Is it really noticable omitting the MSG? Have you checked?

I wonder what it's like with just the chicken and MSG and omitting everything else!

MSG is a flavour enhancer isn't it? No wonder the food tastes better with it...

MSG leaves a discusting, claggy, almost furry feel on the inside of my mouth. Scientific evidence or not, I'll pass.

If you've got an asian / chinese food store near you, it's as good as certain they'll have MSG in stock.

The last one I tried I soaked the chicken in buttermilk overnight before preparing it. Worked fairly well but I've never followed it up and tried to improve it. The OP's looks lovely smile

Going to try this, not sure about the MSG bit but I guess if there is no hard research to show it is harmful...

Some people react badly to MSG and foods with other naturally occurring glutamates though.

Me neither. Would pan frying work?
