The supposedly "leaked KFC" recipe
Discussion
Doesn't taste like KFC, but rather much better.
didnt know where to buy the Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) so ebayed it.
the rest is standard stuff.
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons paprika
6 teaspoons MSG
2 mugs of flour (sorry not a very accurate measurement
keep that mixture handy in your cupboard, it will last you a good few gos, so don't use it all at once.
Cut chicken breast into nugget sized chunks,
it's important to stress the importance of small size chunks to help maximise the ratio of chicken to coating
whisk 1 egg and roll the chicken chunks first in the whisked egg, then roll around in some of the powder mixture until it wont take any more powder mixture.
deep fry for 7 minutes.
take them out before they look completely cooked, and roll in the mix a second time, and put back in for a few more mins
perfection.
you MUST have the MSG, its not the same without. ebay it, only a couple of quid and well worth. Ajinomoto is the company that invented it. ignore the rubbish stories about it being bad for you, absolutely no scientific evidence to support this.
serve with some mayo.

Read about this a couple of years ago in the Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth...
Kept meaning to try it, now I will

If you've got an asian / chinese food store near you, it's as good as certain they'll have MSG in stock.
The last one I tried I soaked the chicken in buttermilk overnight before preparing it. Worked fairly well but I've never followed it up and tried to improve it. The OP's looks lovely
