Even if there are only a couple of recipes in there that work it's a great way of satisfying kids craving for junk food with a healthier DIY option.

/plus a Big Mac craving at 3AM

Anything you've got is good but only those that are true reflections of the awfulness achieved by the chains!

I'd love to recreate proper Nandos but until my steam oven is up and running again I suspect a poor imitation will suffice frown

Thing is you need specific ratios but I think it's 95% method anyway. I've seen them shovelling buckets of quartered chickens around into the hot drawers under the grills in Nandos. I just want to get back into the kitchen to play with stuff irked

Cheers for the nandos recipe. I just prefer making this stuff myself brcause I know exactly what I've put in and that the food's been properly handled. Of course kfc is actually cooked in pressure cookers in-store so you cant replicate exactly at home

Oh yeah...

It was ace! Slightly overcooked, will cut into bigger chunks or fry for six minutes next time. Oh, and add more chilli powder.

God knows how I stumbled across this, F,D&R is a forum I never look at however it has inspired me to buy a deep fat fryer just for this recipe.

It IS amazing.

You DO need the MSG.

(Tried with and without. Without is not bad but with is tremendous.)
