That's part of the "made for you" platform where you can customise your burgers but there are limits

Isnt it supposed to be, but ask for onions on your breakfast bacon roll & a lot of places will say "No". Cant be THAT hard to get some onions from the fridge surely!

On the odd occasion I head over to MacD's I always ask for a Quarter Pounder Deluxe - whether on the menu or not. When not on the menu, I get a 75% success rate, although I sometimes need to pay extra.

In response to the onion question, the whole point is that we're trying to make the ordering to receipt of food quicker. If we have to cook items specially it slows the process down.

There definitely is no secret menu, whatever you're told in Manchester. It was a spoof article written by a tabloid newspaper years ago.

The only things I've managed to do on that made for you gimmick is remove stuff like lettuce and no ice in your drink which they forget anyway.

It is still quicker to order from the person behind the till.

It's been doing the rounds for years, probably decades this. There are no secret menus. Yes I'm sure you can ask for a filet of fish with Mac sauce on it, but that hardly qualifies as some underground nazi bunker menu.

I can't see the fascination with the Macdonalds secret menu, it would appear to be made up of items that are for sale anyway, If you want them just buy them, there's nothing very secret about it.

Used to work at mcds, can confirm there was a secret menu at managers discretion, regular requests for qtr pounder deluxe and megamacs. Qtr pounder with big Mac dressings and visa versa popped up from time to time too.

We also used to do sundae lids full of Mac sauce or the mchicken sandwich sauce for dipping your chips in.
