Any update on what we owe for the bottling, or options for refilling? I've not received any emails.

I sent you a couple of emails but didn't get a reply. If you're no longer up for a swap that's ok but if you didn't get the emails the something maybe up. Let me know either way.

I tried a Glenglassaugh Torfa the other day, if cask 2 is anything like, I will be pleased.

You ended up in the spam file; in principle still up for swapping, dependent upon how much the angel takes etc.

Any sign of a bill yet Lefty ?

I'm struggling with the thought that the Octaves were last months money - when I have a few things in my line of sight for this months ''treat'' - inc a 1967, being an important year !

Plus the thought that the Stoisha is spending another month in the barrel's when a good 50+ litres needs to be in Octave 1 (or 3) !

Rib Tickler - seen this weeks story about the Tasmanian Cask Offer gone sour - 700 casks not filled and others filled at 43%. Any news on No. 8 laugh

Folks - sorry to jump in but I'm looking to do something similar but I'm struggling to find many places that offer a similar service.

Any pointers to distilleries offering this?

Your best bet is to just google 'whisky cask sales'; occasionally the press will assemble a list of the distillers offering cask sales but I don't think there's been one for a while.

I believe Arran and Ardnamurchan do this from memory. Probably one of the best bets is checking with the new distilleries that are opening these days as it's often one of the ways they cover the start up costs. I know a few of the Scandinavian ones are doing it too, but might be a bit far?

Just found this link again. It's around a year old, and mostly Scandi distilleries, but has a few Scottish ones at the bottom with costs:

Invoice just arrived this morning with an apology from Rosie for the time taken.

I'll email everyone out with notes of their dues. Total is £2,749 incl vat. The invoice isnt laid out very logically so I'll need to split it up a bit - i'll send everyone a copy.

Making progress with cask 8 too...I'll email the cask owners individually.

Cheers

Update, they forgot to add the vat on for the purchase of the casks so they will resend an invoice. That'll be another £300.

So far it's looking like a cost/share of:

Cask 1: PPX1: £132.44
Cask 2: P10: £92.74
Cask 3: SC40: £83.10

I'll confirm in due course.

Cheers,
Lefty

Any news on the costs to refill the octave's Lefty ? We are wasting time leading up to the next bottling date in 2022 idea!
