If David A still wants my share, please sort out delivery costs with Iain & then I'll give you details for my costs.
Hope you all enjoy a wee dram smile
Thank you. Sorted I think (well I’ve paid money!)

I owe you some too though - sent you an email saying hadn’t had bank details

I can’t reply to all on the email (bcc) but just want to take this opportunity to thank Phil for giving up his time to do the delivery run. WB not offering consignment service any more and the delivery companies either extortionate or won’t reply.

Much appreciated Phil.

TFatC and Scottydon, I will bring your bottles up North asap.

Thank you Phil. More than happy to contribute more than you are asking as you are undertaking a huge amount of work.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this.

Few days to go and you'll (mostly) be getting your hands on your bottles!

I've just sent an email about Casks 1, 2 and 3 so if you can't see it in your in-box, please check your junk folder.

Additional info I meant to put in the email:

Lingdarroch is an unpeated spirit.
Cask 1 was originally a PX Sherry cask which we filled with Glenglassaugh peated spirit and then refilled with Ben Nevis unpeated spirit.
Cask 2 was originally a Bourbon cask which we filled with Glenglassaugh peated spirit and then refilled with Ben Nevis unpeated spirit.
Cask 3 was originally a Bourbon cask which we filled with Glenglassaugh unpeated spirit and then refilled with Ben Nevis unpeated spirit.

Excellent stuff. I have dropped in an out of this thread: 2011 was the beginning of my Whisky adventure, and this all seemed very beardy.

Now I would be interested in participating in something similar (and may be able to bring in one or two others if numbers need help).

I'd too be interested in joining the party next time around beer

A quick chat with Phil and he's on his way.

Post has been multiple edited because I got confused over what fill was what and I was talking rambling rubbish hehe

Many thanks, especially for the home delivery.

Phil and I were talking about the cost of casks now, compared to when we started this venture, and how with hindsight we should have gone in heavier.

This is only a few miles from me, and it's good stuff. Shall I enquire?

Interesting. I’d be in but also am interested in diversifying eg aged rums

Hi there,

A huge thanks to Phil for making the trip to drop off my bottles tonight.
It was great to chat for a few minutes and hope the rest of your journey went to plan.

Liquid is quite a bit lighter than the previous fill, but this is to be expected. I reckon the recent refill will probably be the last on this cask, its done us proud though.

Couldn't resist a little dram tonight, it really is good. A little spot of water does open it up and is probably my preferred way to drink this release.

A quick picture of the previous fill next to this new one.

Regards

Tim

Nice one! Any tasting notes?

It is much lighter, obviously. Bear in mind these casks had at least two fills before we got our hands on them, possibly three.

It’s possible to “recharge” oak, maybe with Sherry or port, ugly be an interesting experiment.
