Can I poach a deer?

(Not in boiling water for the smartarses. Clearly I don't have a big enough pan.)
As I said to Bob, if you think that is fair wink

Anything was available on the Black Market, but it kinda defeats the object wink

Can I use the Aussie list of rationed ingredients ?
If you think that is fair wink

They were rationed, but, not as strictly as the UK - fish, chicken, rabbit, sausages weren't, butter, tea & sugar were smile
Happy to stick with the UK list. I'm looking forward to seeing how people do their shopping on a resticted petrol allowance too (or none if after 1942 as only for "official" users !).

I am thinking of setting up a couple of snares to catch part of the local bunny population - quite a common practice if my Grandmother is to be believed.

Not sure how Buffy and Gina would take to a cat in the house ! Also the transportation costs might be prohibitive.
