They were rationed, but, not as strictly as the UK - fish, chicken, rabbit, sausages weren't, butter, tea & sugar were

Happy to stick with the UK list. I'm looking forward to seeing how people do their shopping on a resticted petrol allowance too (or none if after 1942 as only for "official" users !).

My memory is hasey but a lot veg we take for granted today was not around in the 1940's
