soad, the trick with microwave meals is to buy cheap and nasty, mine was 30sek which is about £2.30 and it tasted above expectations, I am guessing yours was North of £3.50 and then disappointed as your were close to McDonalds money for something you had to cook yourself.
Mine was on offer (£2), hence the purchase (to give it a try). £3 Meal Deal from Sainsbury’s is tempting me today. New Yorker sandwich perhaps.

Dry hand wet hand method works for me.Raw chicken dried on kitchen paper, in to seasoned flour (left hand) drop in to beaten egg. Pick up with right hand and in to panko breadcrumbs and fry.

what's in the flower Matt and oil used? Oil was some leftovers from last year - think I did scotch eggs from the deep fryer in them.
