soad, the trick with microwave meals is to buy cheap and nasty, mine was 30sek which is about £2.30 and it tasted above expectations, I am guessing yours was North of £3.50 and then disappointed as your were close to McDonalds money for something you had to cook yourself.
Mine was on offer (£2), hence the purchase (to give it a try).

£3 Meal Deal from Sainsbury’s is tempting me today. New Yorker sandwich perhaps. yum

Had an early start today, got home and was in a nibbly mood so abandoned the chicken breasts for dinner and made goujons for lunch. Sunday afternoon comfort food tastic.

Dry hand wet hand method works for me.

Raw chicken dried on kitchen paper, in to seasoned flour (left hand) drop in to beaten egg. Pick up with right hand and in to panko breadcrumbs and fry.

Just cracked black pepper and salt mixed in to flour. I bet there's a lot of scope here with chilli or other spices.

Oil was some leftovers from last year - think I did scotch eggs from the deep fryer in them.

We never dry the chicken, must count for something. Do you wash it in water, Too far?

Mine was however, bloody tasty and I ate the lot. Can't be bad for a €2,99 microwave special from Lidl!
