It was, I admit, done in a great big hurry so presentation has suffered but as a first attempt, I am mostly happy with it. Next time there will be stilton and chilli inside I think...

Feedback so far has been that the bacon is underdone, but I like bacon only slightly cooked - I'd eat it rare if I could, but that would be asking for trouble. I'll save rare (well, blue) for steaks

I will be making one of these next time my girlfriend leaves me to have breakfast alone (she's a veggie so I don't think a baconwich is quite her thing...). Stilton+chilli, possibly with some BBQ sauce or similar sounds perfect.

Collected the fresh eggs just now from my hens. Had a feeling about the one at the front. Was going to have them Scrambled with Salmon but my I tution on it being a double yolker was correct. So poached with Brioche.

They're probably mainly mine. At the moment I get around 35 fresh a week. In around four months it'll be around 130 a week. A mixture of Hen, Duck and Quail.
