Yep, it's butter. Goes amazingly well with banana and fresh bread... try it, you might be surprised. Sometimes savoury and sweet go well together... salted caramel icecream is one of my favourites right now.That looks almost as wrong as my Finnish friends eating porridge with butter and salt, instead of fruit and sugar.
Oh, and as any true Scot will tell you... porridge should ALWAYS be made with salt, not sugar.
