Heard a local steak house had a new lunch menu so went to check it out.

Croque Monsieur for me and steak sandwich for Mrs Bodhi, with some mighty onion rings.

Very tasty, and bill was 60 quid for that, three rounds of drinks and a tip. Would recommend.

You went to a steak house and had a Croque Monsieur? seems off the mark some what!

I suppose as long as you’re happy

I was happy it wasn't served with peas if that's what you mean? smile

However am currently a jet lagged mess and only wanted a sandwich - plus it's owned by a local butcher so the meat was spot on. Am reliably informed the steak was excellent.

Inspired by this thread - and fact we had 2 M&S Smash burgers that needed using today ... - Used the pickled sliced red onions rather than frying some plus I know ...... toasted the Brioche Buns (apologies if this offends the snowflakes/anti Brioche bun brigade wink

I rather think you're pushing the definition of 'slightly' somewhat. Nevertheless, would eat.

What did you think? I find them addictive. And as I cannot justify the price of a five guys as I’m greedy and it always ends up over £30 delivered. I like the fake away effect.

Bread/burger/cheese - yeah worked - the pickled red onions were not the best in this combo.

Plenty of cheese on there it had just swapped positions with the pizza sauce.

Now having a sorbet and very tempted to dip my head in it.
