Went to the Trentham Estate, or as we used to call it, Trentham Gardens. Had a mooch around the shops then went to Willow for lunch.
Had a burger called The Greek, so minted lamb patty, halloumi, salad, labneh and a couple of other things I didn't recognise.
Very tasty, and made a nice change from the usual Cheese and Bacon burger.

I used to go every Saturday years ago to ride a jet ski on a lake there.
Same here, except for me it was either the pitch and putt or the driving range. Sadly now neither exist, and I think jet skis are frowned upon now it's "The Estate".

Must admit I'm intrigued how you ended up round Stoke - thought you were far too sophisticated for that sort of thing?

You can walk round the lake now though, for a bargain of price of £11 a go....

Basically what happened was that my best mate really got into jet skiing. We went there pretty much every Saturday for a whole summer (1994) and finally, he bought one, so after that, we went elsewhere.
I will be going to Stoke again before long as there is a Porsche Indy there that I think I am going to use for a few jobs.
