That reminds me it's been quite a long time since I've seen the venison grillsteaks at ALDI, do quite enjoy eating those.

If you're meaning Aldi's, at £1.50, we had them yesterday, and for a supermarket naan they're very good. However. Across the green from us is a Premier corner shop. Their naans, at £1.99 for two are simply THE best naans I have ever had from any shop. 1 minute either side on a wetted naan, and perfection.

These are great, I bought four the other day.

I have to say, Aldi's easter eggs were pretty decent, received a couple as gifts and they were probably better than Cadbury ones I've had.

The frozen crumbed pork Schnitzels are nice. Two in a pack. One Schnitzel is a large portion for one person.

In Lidls this is.
That sounds nice, will have to keep an eye out for them. Hopefully they sell it over here too.

Let us know how they taste. Have you ever had ostrich before. I'd imagine it to be quit lean. When I used to live in Australia, I often bought kangaroo burgers. They weren't as tasty as beef burgers, but were super lean and high in protein, as well as being very sustainable.

Tried this... Actually pretty decent for a quick 15 min, one dish frozen meal.

I guess they bounce back easily after being culled?

Thanks. I'm not in UK but have only seen the frozen ones. Wondered if anyone had seen them and given them a go.

The kids prefer the fajita variant which is also good for a quick meal.

Do they still do the frozen paella? That was always pretty decent (used to fry up some chorizo and toss it in as well) seeing this post made me realise I couldn't remember the last time I bought it.

I can’t remember seeing it but I’ll have a look next time I’m there.

Ostrich burgers likely to have added pork (fatty cuts minced) otherwise they'll be too dry and tasteless.

It's Iberian week at Lidl (in the UK).

These things are the exact same product sold in Waitrose for £1 + more. Lovely as a microwave snack:

Also the fancy chick peas in jars are (still redface) only 99p. £2.99 + in posh delis and make the silkiest hummus ever.

I’ve been bigging up this Cherry Cider from Aldi. Clearly my reviews have been good because there’s no left in my local frown It’s like drinking pop.

New nuts in Aldi. I bought the Yeast Extract ones and very much enjoyed them. They do not taste like Marmite. Which initially I was disappointed with. Until I finished them hehe

Dutch/Belgian week this thursday at LIDL. Which means they'll be selling the strong belgian beers (ranging from 6-10.5%). They don't have it in a box this time, but as a 4x pack (so buy the ones you like).
