Chocolate - the 85% dark is excellent and the dark choc with hazelnuts is rammed with nuts.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the aged steaks are very good as well.

You can't really argue with the prices when spend £28 and leave with 2 bags of food including a £6.99 dremel copy from the remainder bin smile

If they're in stock at your local Aldi, try the ostrich steaks lick

Not even slightly food but car related - I bought a bluetooth sd/usb/fm head unit from Aldi yesterday for 35 quid - in fact I bought two - one for the van and one for the courtesy car/runaround!

Very impressed.

Lidl but we had the ostrich steaks and also moose steaks. Very tasty, the only downside being some titbits kept as high value training treats and fed to the puppy resulted in hideous poison gas emissions.

In other news is the Lidl app crashing for others or is it just my problem?

Also have wild boar chunks, boar steak, kangaroo steak, reindeer (xmas only) and a lot of others,

I have been through most of them and they are excellent.

Although I would say wild boar needs a slow cook as its very tough meat.

I've picked up some of the famed Wagyu burgers for tonight's dinner. My local Aldi had no brioche or Gruyere so it's white baps and Gouda slices, however I thought I'd treat myself to a Malbec to wash it down with.

Went to my local Aldi on the way home to get some camping beds, they didn't have any burgers again! The special frozen ones are good though, 4 for £2.

Had them for the first time last night - Mrs NW was a little sceptical as it was essentially £1.495 per burger. She now wants half the freezer reserved for them.

Awesome flavour, very succulent, little shrinkage and the tip earlier of having them in a brioche bun was excellent!

Thing that annoys me about Aldi... They get associated goods in half n half packaging. In this instance its half n half shampoo and conditioner. Now the shampoo went and this leaves just conditioner and I've been looking every week for the past 4 weeks and they still haven't re-ordered shampoo and probably wont until somebody buys the fking colour care conditioner that apparently nobody wants.

Anyone tried the Aldi Prosecco? Going tomorrow and our local one is next door to Sainsbury whose 789 Prosecco is quite delicious and not bad at the reduced price of £6.75 IIRC. Aldi's is a fiver so would like an opinion if anyone has had a sip! drunksmile

I like their Pinot blush too. Very reasonable for a nice sparkly glugable on a summers eveningsmile
