Has anyone managed to try the Aldi wagyu burgers, whenever I go there they seem to have sold out! Is there a trick to getting them?
I have. They're nice, but not worth the premium over Aldi's 'Premium' pack of two burgers.

The lamb burgers are nice too (and, surprisingly, lower fat per unit than the beefburgers!)
Agreed, too fatty and too salty.

I can't comment. Since the Aldi that opened near me on Thursday has today sold out of Burgers! frown

+1, tried the Wagyu twice, way too greasy and salty (I did post a "technical" comparison some time back)

Asian week it seems at Lidl, not food but a bonsai tree. Not bad for a tenner.

Comfirmed: Aldi in the UK is FAR better than Aldi on the Continent.
Visited Aldi in Poole last week, as we were staying with family and needed to stock up; what a difference to the st store we're used to on the Continent!

No wonder it's so popular. We spent £38, food & alcohol, and it would have been more like £55 in Tesco!

I'm almost embarrassed to post this, but here goes.

Aldi's "Corale Baked Beans" are superb.

They are at least as good as the leading brand, perhaps even better.

Yep they are fantastic; I've never been a Heinz beans fan myself, always prefering JS or Tesco's beans; Aldi ones are better though.

I've been enjoying the Knight's 'Malvern Gold' cider that's recently appeared on Aldi's shelves a little too much. A distinctive taste and not badly priced.

I'm still not massively keen on Aldi for day to day food items, but the cider is making me visit more often..

Also agree, I made cooked them finest burgers the other day, they were right up there with some of the nicest burgers I have ever cooked.

Not fussed on the Wagyu. Although I do want to try the steak.

Agreed. Branston win, including against the Aldi version. Heinz are not nice.

I agree with this as well - popped into Aldi in Saumur, France last week and it was much worse than our local one.

Their hypermarkets, however, are superb. Absolutely love their E.Leclerc stores - fantastic range of all types of food and their butchery/fish counters are brilliant.

Not cheap, mind!

Too much sugar.

Aldi baked beans are by far the best on the market. Anyone who says otherwise has dodgy tastebuds wink
