I have a think for the Aldi Beef and Vegatable chunky soup, load of white pepper, round of toast, tasty, hot cheap lunch.
i have treid a few of the tinned soups , not bad for lunch at work. when i do occasionally work it will be on a retail park at night. so options are rather limited.has to be black pepper for me with chilli sauce

I have tried them - but still prefer Branston baked beans
Agreed. Branston win, including against the Aldi version. Heinz are not nice.Aldi baked beans are by far the best on the market. Anyone who says otherwise has dodgy tastebuds

We tried Aldi beans yesterday for the first time - delicious with none of the cloying sweetness of other brands.
They are very nice.In soup news, the tomato, creme fraiche and basil soups are great as either soup or a pasta sauce. Just add a few prawns and scattering of feta. Lovely

Lidl has some good Italian wines at the moment: a very 'pineappley' Sicilian white at £5.99, and an excellent Valpolicella Ripasso at £7.99.
Can you remember the name of the Sicilian?I'm shopping at Lidl in the morning and I will try to remember to get these.
Sod's law says that I will read this post tomorrow evening and go "Sod it, I forgot".

Lidl have an excellent Crianza in at the moment 'Carles' DOQ Priorat, a Gold medal winner and under £6 I think. So nice I popped back in last week and picked up another 6....I'm shopping at Lidl in the morning and I will try to remember to get these.
