I've had the Chinese style chicken wings today, they were very good. The kids like the chocolate puddings that come in shot glasses but they are quite pricy at 69p each.
Whoah, steady on! 69p? Blimey. Still, if the shot glasses are half OK then it's a cheap way to stock up for parties!
haha

O/H loves Creme brulee, we always keep the glass pots as they've great rustic tealight holders/marinade mixing pots etc
I've got about a dozen shot glasses now, cheaper than actually buying glasses!

I could do with another red wine recommendation; Aldi or Lidl.

The bar was set pretty high by Aldi's black label Toro Loco. Amazing for the money. Tried the white label and it's pretty meh.

Anyone had anything good recently? I prefer bold but smooth reds.

I agree, it is a victim of its own success as it was only £4.50 in my local when they started selling it.

Yeah, we've tried that one. It was ok, but not outstanding.

(I realise that wine preferences are super personal!)

If your like Spanish pick up any of the Ribera del Duero wines when they have them. Beats their everyday Rioja and ES pickings hands down.

If you don't mind a lighter red then the Wolf House Pinot Noir in Aldi is pretty good at around £5, tbf I was actually staggered at the berry flavours (Strawberry mainly to my palate) compared to a lot more expensive PN I've had in the past. The most surprising bit for me was its from Romania, I've never knowing bought a wine from there, seriously give it a go.

The Lidl £3.99 Chianti punches well above its price, I keep trying others and spending quite a bit more but always end up coming back to it.

Tried the tandoori chicken from the steamed meals range today. For the money I can't fault it.

Asda used to do one for 4 quid that was quite nice. Also Morrisons have one for about the same in their chalkboard range of wines, also good for the price.

Went LIDL today for the first time in years. I'm always put off going as they tend to only ever have 1-2 checkouts open, each with long lines, however this time they had self service. It was great as very few chose to use it. Disappointingly I couldn't find any of the german curry ketchup which I was told is sold there from the other topic I made. On the plus side they do have prawn-flavoured packet noodles which I like (supermarkets don't do anymore). Also got the Cien 2-blade pack of 20 razor blades for under £4, hopefully they're good as I don't shave often and don't want to waste money on fusion blades.

I looked at those last week. I only wet shave once a week (electric for the rest) and fork out £14 for a set of Gillette heads. Even if the Lidl ones only did one shave each, I reckon they'd be better value.

Someone needs to give them a try and see how 'slashed' their neck looks after using them hehe

I'll probably try them out tomorrow. my purchase was based off me asking on the multi blade razor thread and someone saying the following.

Don't spend lots on these fancy things...... Of the cheepies, I tried Sainsbury own and Tesco own, and both clogged with bristles and weren't great! What do I use now? Lidl's twin blade package consisting of a handle and 20 twin blade cartridges for under £4 and they work a treat.

I tried the Aldi ones last year - nasty things! Went blunt really quickly and actually felt rough.

...although the shaving cream / foam is great for 89P

YMMV, I use the Aldi disposables every day without trouble. A few drops of veg oil are better than foam, and take up less space in the wash bag.
