the product is good, but limited. We tend to do our main show in Aldi and then do a top up shop in Waitrose. We probably spend the same as we would in Tesco but get more food, more variety and a better overall quality

Haven't been to Aldi as much lately as we've been inundated with Ocado and Waitrose offers, which is nice.
2 lots of £10 off when you spend £40 and 2 lots of 20% off when you spend £50.
I've just come back from my local Aldi, got a trolley full including a bottle of wine, nappies, a couple of treats but the rest being you basic weekly food shop - £67.
Impressed, that would have set me back at least £100 or more in Tesco or Sains. I remember paying sub £70 for my food shop about 5 years ago at Tesco etc.

Meanwhile, another interesting wine from Lidl: a 2012 Mercurey, Domaine de la Grangerie, £9.99.
Quite light, but very 'cherryish', with notes of rose hips and bubble gum. I suspect a Pinot Noir / Gamay blend.
If you like a classic Passetoutgrain (and I do), then you will love this wine.
